Evaluation Of Logo Design
I am quite happy with my final logo design, however when creating and adding colour to the logo on my own version of Adobe Illustrator, the design differentiated from the original version that I had created. I am annoyed with the different version as the chunky number two makes it harder to see the '83' behind, however when asking family members and friends, they thought that the design looked as good. I would be happy to use this as my final logo, therefore I created another version of the old idea as this looked more high catching and to higher standard.
I feel that the colour theme works well with the bold red that is already placed on the refectory walls, because they create a cosy, relaxed feel. However, I would include a white strip around the logo design to make sure that it is broken up from the red walls, as this could be too much and overpower the refectory. I wanted the strap line to look simple with the chunky logo design to attract the students' attention. The type looks professional which creates a sophisticated feel. I used inspiration from Kate Moross, as she overlapped images and typography in her work. I felt that by differentiating my work, I could overlap the numbers in my logo designs, which would look funky to my target audience, the students.
I have not been able to add a picture of the designs as the format is different, I will try to place them on in a different way, later on.
